Having become established, one can get sent out (3,2)
I believe the answer is:
set in
'out' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are verbs in their base form, I don't see how one could define the other.
I don't understand how the remainder of the clue works.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Another definition for set in that I've seen is " Become established".)
I've seen this clue in the Evening Standard.
