Ross

I believe the answer is:

ray

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

This might be a double definition.

'he's' is the first definition.

'a catch' is the second definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I cannot understand how one could define the other.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for ray that I've seen before include "A little light" , "Column of light on the fish?" , "Sunbeam or flat fish" , "A bright beam or flat fish" , "Beam of light or flat fish" .)

I've seen this clue in the Evening Standard.
