Hesitation expressed after TV hosts, out of order, say Graham’s location? (8)
I believe the answer is:
decanter
'location?' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I cannot understand how they can define each other.
'hesitation expressed after tv hosts out of order say graham's' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'hesitation' could be 'er' (sound made while hesitating - um, er) and 'er' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'decant' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for decanter that I've seen before include "Spirits/wine container" , "Recanted (anag.)" , "Glass spirits container" , "Stoppered glass container for alcohol" , "Type of carafe" .)
