Hot wind from Morocco is back for the moment (7)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

sirocco

'hot wind' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

I don't understand how the rest of the clue works.

(Other definitions for sirocco that I've seen before include "Hot wind blowing from north Africa to southern Europe" , "Hot south wind from North Africa" , "Wind from the desert" , "Hot wind that blows across the Mediterranean" , "Dust storm" .)

I've seen this clue in The Times.
