Hound those born with wealth (6)
I believe the answer is:
basset
'hound' is the definition.
(basset hound is an example)
'those born with wealth' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'born' could be 'b' and 'b' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'asset' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for basset that I've seen before include "Smooth-haired, long-eared hound" , "Short-legged dog" , "Type of horn" , "GAME" , "Short-legged hound that hunts hares" .)
