Both the definition and answer are adverbs. Perhaps there's an association between them I don't understand?

I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'pool' could be 'swimming' (swimming pool is a kind of pool) and 'swimming' is located in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
