How sheep can enter seaside town? (8)
I believe the answer is:
ramsgate
'seaside town?' is the definition.
(town in Kent)
'how sheep can enter' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'sheep' could be 'rams' (male sheep) and 'rams' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'gate' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
(Other definitions for ramsgate that I've seen before include "English resort" , "Violently strikes barrier in seaside town" , "Kent seaside resort" , "Kent town" , "port" .)
