How to go on a spree? (8)
I believe the answer is:
jauntily
'how' is the definition.
Both the definition and answer are adverbs. Perhaps you can see an association between them that I can't see?
'to go on a spree?' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'to' could be 'til' (I've seen this in another clue) and 'til' is found in the answer.
'a' is found in the answer.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Another definition for jauntily that I've seen is " In a self-confident and lively manner".)
