Ignores a rogue group (8)
I believe the answer is:
organise
'group' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are verbs in their base form, I cannot see how they can define each other.
'ignores a rogue' is the wordplay.
'rogue' indicates anagramming the letters (letters go rogue).
'ignores'+'a'='ignoresa'
'ignoresa' anagrammed gives 'ORGANISE'.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for organise that I've seen before include "Set up, co-ordinate" , "run" , "Arrange, plan or direct" , "Ignores a move to make ready" , "form" .)
