Improvised code with strange etiquette (7)
I believe the answer is:
decorum
'etiquette' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'improvised code with strange' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
an anagram of 'code' is 'deco' which is located in the answer.
'strange' could be 'rum' (similar in meaning) and 'rum' is located in the answer.
This accounts for all the letters.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for decorum that I've seen before include "This is becoming" , "modesty" , "good grace" , "good behaviour" , "Seemliness" .)
