Impudent person finally faces whip (6)
I believe the answer is:
squirt
'impudent person' is the definition.
'squirt' can be an answer for 'person' (squirt is a kind of person). I'm not certain of the 'impudent' bit.
'finally faces whip' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'whip' could be 'quirt' (quirt is a kind of whip) and 'quirt' is found in the answer.
A single letter 's' remains which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for squirt that I've seen before include "Short emission" , "Gush out" , "Jet of liquid or unimportant person in slang" , "Force liquid out - short or contemptible person" , "Spurt, jet" .)
