In a straight line, using corvid's wings (2,3,4,5)
I believe the answer is:
as the crow flies
'in a straight line' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'corvid's wings' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'wings' could be 'flies' ('fly' can be a synonym of 'wing') and 'flies' is found within the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'using' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for as the crow flies that I've seen before include "How rook moves" , "Directly" , "without deviating" , "By direct route" , "taking shortest route" .)
