Ross

I believe the answer is:

cabaret

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'in which to act artfully' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I cannot see how one could define the other.

'just about nude?' is the wordplay.
'just' becomes 'cat' (I can't explain this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'about' indicates putting letters inside.
'nude?' becomes 'bare' (synonyms).
'cat' placed around 'bare' is 'CABARET'.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for cabaret that I've seen before include "Film set in 1931 Berlin - floor show" , "Floor show for Arab etc" , "Entertainment provided in a nightclub" , "Series of acts" , "Nightclub 12ac" .)

I've seen this clue in the Evening Standard.
