Crossword Genius

Indicate where to find a tourist attraction (9)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

showplace

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'a tourist attraction' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)

'indicate where' is the wordplay.
'indicate' becomes 'show' (showing is a kind of indicating).
'where' becomes 'place' (I can't explain this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'show'+'place'='SHOWPLACE'

'to find' acts as a link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for showplace that I've seen before include "theatre?" , "Place for exhibiting" .)

I've seen this clue in The Globe and Mail.
