Insect let out another (6)
I believe the answer is:
beetle
'insect' is the definition.
(I know that beetle is a type of insect)
'let out another' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
an anagram of 'let' is 'etl' which is within the answer.
'another' could be 'e' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'e' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'be' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for beetle that I've seen before include "Volkswagen car" , "... after {STATE = COLORADO] which he'll do for Charlotte" , "bug" , "Insect with four wings" , "Iconic German car, first produced in 1938" .)
