Crossword Genius

Is able to repeat a dance (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

cancan

'a dance' is the definition.
(I know that cancan is a type of choreography)

'is able to repeat' is the wordplay.
'is able to' becomes 'can' (if you can do something you are able to do it).
'repeat' says to double the letters.
'can' doubled is 'CANCAN'.

(Other definitions for cancan that I've seen before include "Lively Parisian dance" , "French female chorus line dance" , "High-kicking dance of a female chorus line" , "High-kicking dance of repetitive kind" , "Lively French dance, doubly permissive" .)
