Is amazed and angry, caught up in the snowdrift (7)
I believe the answer is:
wonders
'is' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are verbs in their -s form, I cannot understand how one could define the other.
I don't understand how the rest of the clue works.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for wonders that I've seen before include "Questons, marvels" , "Marvels - there used to be seven of them in the world" , "Curiosities" , "Prodigies, miracles" , "Questions, marvels" .)
