Both the answer and definition are adjectives. Perhaps you can see an association between them that I don't see?

I cannot really understand how this works, but
'it' could be 't' (abbreviation. e.g. in 'tis) and 't' is located in the answer.
'right' could be 'r' (common abbreviation) and 'r' is found in the answer.
'first' could be 'a' (first letter of the alphabet) and 'a' is present in the answer.
'lady' could be 'lory' and 'lory' is present in the leftover letters.
The remaining letters 'eve' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
