Is such water good for the laundry? (4)
I believe the answer is:
soda
'the laundry?' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I don't understand how one could define the other.
'is such water good' is the wordplay.
'is such' becomes 'so'.
'water good' becomes 'da' (I can't justify this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'so'+'da'='SODA'
'for' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for soda that I've seen before include "fizz" , "kind of water" , "Fizzy drink - chemical compound" , "pressurised liquid" , "In the US, a sweet fizzy drink" .)
