It stops you seeing feature (6)
I believe the answer is:
eyelid
'feature' is the definition.
(I have seen 'Facial feature ' mean 'eyelid' so perhaps 'feature' could also mean 'eyelid')
'it stops you' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'it' could be 'e' ('e' can mean 'electronic' which is similar to 'IT') and 'e' is found in the answer.
'you' could be 'ye' (historical version of 'you') and 'ye' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'lid' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'seeing' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for eyelid that I've seen before include "Protective cover" , "Facial feature" , "Object of batting" , "Cover for viewer" , "Natural optic protector" .)
