It's shared among the family (7)
I believe the answer is:
kinship
'family' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I cannot understand how they can define each other.
'it's shared among' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'among' could be 'in' (eg among or in a group) and 'in' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'the' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for kinship that I've seen before include "A sharing of characteristics" , "Close connection marked by interests, similarity in nature, or character" , "Affinity" , "Blood tie" , "Blood relationship" .)
