Joey's resting-place (5)
I believe the answer is:
roost
'resting-place' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'joey's' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'joey's' could be 'roos' and 'roos' is found within the answer.
A single letter 't' remains which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for roost that I've seen before include "Resting perch for birds" , "Temporary resting-place" , "Perch on a branch" , "(Bird) settle for sleep" , "Bird's night spot" .)
