Joint complaint brought to court? (6,5)
I believe the answer is:
tennis elbow
'joint complaint' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'to court?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'court?' could be 'tennis' (tennis court is a kind of court) and 'tennis' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'elbow' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
'brought' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for tennis elbow that I've seen before include "Tendon problem" , "Joint inflammation" , "Inflammation of an arm tendon" , "Muscular injury from exercise" , "Complaint in arm joint" .)
