Kindness channel - somewhere to fill up (7,7)
I believe the answer is:
service station
'fill up' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I don't see how they can define each other.
'kindness channel somewhere' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'channel' could be 'station' (I've seen this before) and 'station' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'service' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'to' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for service station that I've seen before include "It caters" , "fuel supplier" , "during long run, refuelling here?" .)
