I believe the answer is:

crater

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'large hole' is the definition.
(large hole in the ground)

'vehicle that will hardly go right' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'vehicle' could be 'crate' (I have seen 'Dilapidated vehicle ' mean 'crate' so perhaps 'vehicle' could also mean 'crate') and 'crate' is located in the answer.
'right' could be 'r' (abbreviation) and 'r' is found in the answer.
No letters remain.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

'in' acts as a link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for crater that I've seen before include "Volcanic depression" , "Volcano's mouth" , "Fissure in the earth's crust" , "Bowl-shaped cavity as on volcano peak" , "Large bowl-shaped hollow" .)
