Last but one team member in political residence?
I believe the answer is:
number ten
'political residence?' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'last but one team member' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'last' could be 't' (I've seen this in other clues) and 't' is present in the answer.
'member' could be 'mbe' and 'mbe' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'in' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for number ten that I've seen before include "PM's house" , "Prime Minister's official residence" , "Maybe X" , "Stand-off" , "political residence" .)
