Last, finally (5,3)
I believe the answer is:
after all
This might be a double definition.
'last' is the first definition.
(I've seen this before)
'finally' is the second definition.
Both the definition and answer are adverbs. Perhaps there's a link between them I don't understand?
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for after all that I've seen before include "in spite of expectations to the contrary" , "most importantly" , "Behind from start to finish" , "Bringing up the rear" , "anyway" .)
