Late worker to close dryer, say (5,3)
I believe the answer is:
night owl
'close dryer say' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I can't see how one could define the other.
'late worker' is the wordplay.
'late' becomes 'night' (I've seen this before).
'worker' becomes 'owl' (I can't justify this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'night'+'owl'='NIGHT-OWL'
'to' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for night owl that I've seen before include "he may go to bed at last" , "One active after dark" , "One working late" , "Late sleeper" , "One preferring to work when it's dark" .)
