Ross

I believe the answer is:

springs

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'leaps' is the definition.
(I know this)

'in bed perhaps' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'in' is within the answer.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for springs that I've seen before include "Natural flows of ground water" , "Jumps; metal coils" , "Elastic metal coils" , "what might be after Alice?" .)

I've seen this clue in The Globe and Mail.
