Left without 100 goods' slow movement (5)
I believe the answer is:
largo
'slow movement' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'left without 100 goods'' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'left' could be 'l' (common abbreviation) and 'l' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'argo' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for largo that I've seen before include "(Musically) slow in tempo and broad in manner" , "Musical piece" , "moving slowly" , "To be played slowly and broadly" , "at stately speed" .)
