I believe the answer is:

ventricle

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'some heart' is the definition.
The answer and definition can be both body parts as well as being singular nouns.
Maybe there's an association between them I don't understand?

'let out grass around end of april' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'around' could be 'c' (abbreviation for 'circa') and 'c' is present in the answer.
'let out' could be 'vent' (I've seen this in another clue) and 'vent' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'rile' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

'showing' acts as a link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for ventricle that I've seen before include "Heart cavity that pumps blood to arteries" , "Chamber in organ of body - the heart has two" , "One of four heart chambers" , "bloody pump!" .)

I've seen this clue in The Guardian.
