Crossword Genius

Light sleep? (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

siesta

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

This could be a double definition.

'light' is the first definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I don't see how they can define each other.

'sleep?' is the second definition.
(I've seen this before)

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for siesta that I've seen before include "Seat is found for a Spanish rest period" , "After lunch nap" , "Catnap" , "Spanish afternoon nap" , "PM snoozing?" .)

I've seen this clue in The Globe and Mail.
