List in pieces, everyone can see (4)
I believe the answer is:
menu
'list' is the definition.
(menu is a kind of list)
'pieces everyone can see' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'pieces' could be 'men' (man can mean a chess piece) and 'men' is found in the answer.
A single letter 'u' remains which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'in' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for menu that I've seen before include "List of options" , "List of (computer or food) items" , "List of items to choose from as in restaurant" , "List of fare" , "Food programme of restaurant" .)
