I believe the answer is:

week

'this time' is the definition.
(period of time)

'little more than a kilo' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'little' could be 'wee' (similar in meaning) and 'wee' is found in the answer.
'kilo' could be 'k' (phonetic alphabet: alpha, bravo, charlie etc.) and 'k' is found within the answer.
This accounts for all the letters.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for week that I've seen before include "A long time in politics?" , "Calendar period" , "Seven days" , "Period of time; sounds like feeble" , "Part of the year" .)
