I believe the answer is:

stowed

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'loaded' is the definition.
('stow' can be a synonym of 'load')

'son with possible reason for going to church' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'son' could be 's' (genealogical abbreviation for son) and 's' is found in the answer.
'with' could be 'w' (abbreviation) and 'w' is located in the answer.
'for' could be 'to' (eg both can mean 'in the opinion of') and 'to' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'ed' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for stowed that I've seen before include "Put away or hid on board" , "Tidily stored away" , "Filled by packing tightly" , "Packed or stored out of sight" , "Two Eds (anag.)" .)

I've seen this clue in The Times.
