Look at various sites to get expert coverage (7)
I believe the answer is:
surface
'expert coverage' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I don't understand how they can define each other.
'look at various sites' is the wordplay.
'look' becomes 'face' (synonyms).
'at' is a charade indicator (letters next to each other) (I've seen this in other clues).
'various sites' becomes 'sur' (I can't explain this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'face' put after 'sur' is 'SURFACE'.
'to get' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for surface that I've seen before include "Outside; rise to the top" , "skin" , "Worktop" , "Top level" , "In water, come to the top" .)
