Loud curling surface will crease? (7)
I believe the answer is:
wrinkle
'crease?' is the definition.
(I know that crease can be written as wrinkle)
'loud curling surface will' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'surface' could be 'rink' (I have seen 'frozen surface' mean 'rink' so perhaps 'surface' could also mean 'rink') and 'rink' is located in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for wrinkle that I've seen before include "clever innovation" , "Line (in flesh)" , "shellfish found on banks of river" , "Slight fold - line on the face" , "Crease in skin" .)
