Crossword Genius

Loving the commotion and the band (7)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

adoring

'loving' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'the commotion and the band' is the wordplay.
'the commotion' becomes 'ado' (ado is a kind of commotion).
'and' is a charade indicator (letters next to each other).
'the band' becomes 'ring' (ring is a kind of band).
'ado'+'ring'='ADORING'

(Other definitions for adoring that I've seen before include "Very keen on" , "Giving great love" , "Devoted" , "Loving deeply" , "Worshipful" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
