Made a fuss and didn't stop (7,2)
I believe the answer is:
carried on
'didn't stop' is the definition.
I know nothing about this answer so I can't tell whether this works.
'made a fuss and' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'made' could be 'carried' (carrying is a kind of making) and 'carried' is located in the answer.
'and' could be 'n' (common abbreviation for 'and') and 'n' is located in the answer.
A single letter 'o' remains which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Another definition for carried on that I've seen is " Continued".)
