Make fun of forward in an excited state (4,2)
I believe the answer is:
send up
'make fun of' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'forward in an excited state' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'forward' could be 'send' (I've seen this in another clue) and 'send' is found in the answer.
'excited' could be 'up' and 'up' is present in the answer.
No letters remain.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for send up that I've seen before include "Mock?" , "Spoof - jail" , "Make fun of, parody" , "Supply from below; lampoon" , "Ridicule with satire" .)
