Makes one realise one inflicts on the family, too (6,4)
I believe the answer is:
brings home
'makes' is the definition.
(bringing home is a kind of making)
'one realise one inflicts on the family too' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'one' could be 'me' (a setter might use 'one' to humourously mean 'me') and 'me' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
I've seen this clue in the Evening Standard.
