('large' can be a synonym of 'big')

'making the r in beer' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'r' is present in the answer.
'beer' could be 'lager' (type of beer) and 'lager' is found in the leftover letters.
No letters remain.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
