Ross

I believe the answer is:

remnants

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'all that's left' is the definition.
I can't judge whether this definition defines the answer.

'man collapsed in tears' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
an anagram of 'man' is 'mna' which is within the answer.
'tears' could be 'rents' (rent is a kind of tear) and 'rents' is located in the leftover letters.
No letters remain.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

'finding' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for remnants that I've seen before include "hangovers" , "Stern man has left-over pieces" , "Pieces of fabric left over" , "Surviving fragments" , "Remaining pieces of cloth" .)

I've seen this clue in The Times.
