Medical case accepted without complaint (2-7)
I believe the answer is:
in-patient
'medical case' is the definition.
'in patient' can be an answer for 'case' (I have seen 'overnight case' mean 'in patient' so perhaps 'case' could also mean 'in patient'). I am not certain of the 'medical' bit.
'accepted without complaint' is the wordplay.
'accepted' becomes 'in' (I've seen this in other clues).
'without complaint' becomes 'patient' (I can't explain this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'in'+'patient'='IN-PATIENT'
Can you help me to learn more?
I've seen this clue in the Sydney Morning Herald.
