I believe the answer is:

hatter

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'milliner' is the definition.
(synonyms)

'break removing topper' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'topper' could be 'hat' (I've seen this in another clue) and 'hat' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'ter' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

'in' acts as a link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for hatter that I've seen before include "Threat (anag)" , "Milliner" , "Tea-party holder" , "Tea-party attender" , "supplying pork pies?" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
