Crossword Genius

Minor drama - that's easy (6,4)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

childs play

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'easy' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'minor drama' is the wordplay.
'minor' becomes 'child' (synonyms).
'drama' becomes 'splay' (I can't explain this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'child'+'splay'='CHILDS-PLAY'

'that's' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for childs play that I've seen before include "simple task" , "Something very easy to do" , "A dramatisation of the nativity" , "A doddle" , "Peter Pan, say, on stage" .)

I've seen this clue in The Daily Express.
