Ross

I believe the answer is:

ebbing

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'going out' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)

'missouri town at the cinema' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'at' could be 'in' (synonymous in some cases - eg at school, in school) and 'in' is present in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for ebbing that I've seen before include "Gradually growing less" , "Flowing out" , "Receding like Big Ben" , "Big Ben (anag)" , "Declining" .)
