I believe the answer is:

(I've seen this in another clue)
'models have little space' is the wordplay.
'models' becomes 'TT' (two instances of the T, as in the Ford Model T car).
'have' means one lot of letters goes inside another.
'little space' becomes 'en' (in printing, a space as wide as a letter 'n'. I am not sure about the 'little' bit.).
'tt' placed around 'en' is 'TENT'.
