Mountain plant – one in Nepal, growing wild (6)
I believe the answer is:
alpine
'mountain' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'plant one in nepal growing wild' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'one' could be 'i' (Roman numeral) and 'i' is present in the answer.
an anagram of 'nepal' is 'alpne' which is located in the left over letters.
No letters remain.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for alpine that I've seen before include "Native growing up in mountainous area" , "Plant of high mountains" , "seen in rocky state?" , "Nepali (anag.)" , "Relating to high mountains" .)
