Move during sword fight, taking nothing from room (5)
I believe the answer is:
lunge
'move' is the definition.
(I know that lunge is a more specific form of the action move)
'during sword fight taking nothing from room' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'from' could be 'un' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'un' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'lge' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for lunge that I've seen before include "Trust forward as with sword" , "Thrust forward as in fencing" , "Charge" , "dive" , "Thrust forward as with sword" .)
